Automatic Weft Replenishment and Package Change
topic
Automatic weft replenishment systems detect approaching weft package exhaustion from package diameter sensors or yarn consumption counting, automatically joining the tail of the depleting package to the reserve package through a knotting or splicing device and switching the supply to the reserve package without loom stop or weft break, maintaining continuous weaving production without operator intervention for weft package change.
Role
Increases loom operator efficiency by eliminating the most frequent manual intervention required during normal weaving production, with automatic weft joining allowing one operator to supervise substantially more looms than with manual package change, and the elimination of weft stop events from package exhaustion improving loom efficiency particularly on high-speed looms where frequent stops significantly reduce effective production rate.
