Basalt Fibre Woven and Nonwoven Textile Products

topic
Basalt fibre woven fabrics in plain, twill, and satin weave architectures from 200 to 600 grams per square metre are produced on modified glass fibre looms with controlled tension, while needlepunched and thermobonded basalt nonwoven mats provide isotropic reinforcement for filtration, fire protection blankets, and bitumen roofing membrane reinforcement applications.

Role

Extends basalt fibre utility from composite reinforcement into direct textile applications including high-temperature filtration bags for foundry and ceramic kiln exhaust, fire curtains and fire blankets certified to EN 1869, geotextile ground reinforcement in chemically aggressive soil environments, and welding protection blankets requiring repeated exposure to molten metal splash.
