Beat-Up, Take-Up and Let-Off Mechanisms

category
Beat-up, take-up, and let-off mechanisms control the three primary fabric formation motions of driving the reed against the fell to consolidate the inserted weft pick into the fabric structure, winding completed fabric onto the take-up roller at defined rate, and releasing warp yarn from the beam at the rate consumed by weaving to maintain constant warp tension throughout fabric production.

Role

Governs the fabric structure formation parameters of pick density, warp tension, and fabric construction through the mechanical coordination of reed beat-up force, take-up rate, and let-off rate that together determine the fabric pick count, cover factor, and dimensional stability of the finished woven fabric across all fabric types and weaving systems.
