Fine Cleaning Integrated in Card Chute

topic
The latest generation blowroom lines transfer fine cleaning to the card chute by adding a mote knife to the existing opening roller position. A needled cylinder with feed trough produces small tufts with large surfaces, and the mote knife immediately eliminates exposed trash. The high blowroom production load (up to 1200 kg/h) is distributed across multiple cards (e.g., 2×6 chutes), each operating at considerably lower production rates.

Role

This innovation made separate fine cleaners superfluous, resulting in remarkable quality improvement through gentler treatment. It represents the convergence of blowroom and carding into an integrated material preparatory section comprising bale opener, pre-cleaner, blender, and card with integrated fine cleaning.
