Pique—textured surface via float stitches or tuck stitches creating three-dimensional effects, breathable, structured appearance (polo shirts, sportswear, 180-280 GSM). Fleece/Terry—loop pile structures with raised surface, created via extra yarn feeding (fleece: cut or uncut loops on reverse, thermal insulation) or tuck loops (French terry: loops one side, smooth other side), 200-400 GSM, used for sweatshirts, activewear. Pointelle—lace-like effects via transferred stitches creating deliberate holes in patterns, lightweight (80-150 GSM), decorative (fashion knitwear, lingerie). Milano/Ponte di Roma—stable double-knit structures with excellent body, minimal stretch (10-20% width), good recovery, used for structured apparel (jackets, pants, 280-400 GSM).
