← Dust and Fly Handling and Filtration

Two-Stage Filtration Systems

topic
Preliminary filtering uses slowly rotating filter drums where dust-laden air forms a layer that is removed by rollers. Fine filtering uses a second filter drum to clean the air before it returns to the room. These can be individual filters or part of a central installation. Panel pre-filters and rotary fine filters (e.g., LUWA) are standard components.

Role

Two-stage filtration ensures both fly (larger particles) and dust (micro-particles) are removed from the air. The preliminary stage protects the fine filter from overloading, extending its service life and maintaining consistent air quality.
