OE Spinning Process Optimization

Critical parameters: rotor speed (50,000-150,000 rpm, higher for finer counts up to 40 Ne limit, limited by rotor material strength and bearing technology), delivery speed (100-200 m/min depending on count), opening roller speed (optimized for fibre opening without damage—cotton 7,000-8,000 rpm, synthetics 6,000-7,000 rpm lower to reduce fibre breakage), negative pressure (vacuum 4,000-6,000 Pa for fibre transport and trash removal), and twist multiplier (3.5-4.2 for cotton, 3.8-4.5 for polyester, balancing strength and handle). Fiber requirements: staple length 25-45 mm optimal (short fibres <20 mm reduce strength, long fibres >50 mm cause wrapping problems), fiber strength >20 cN/tex (weak fibres break during opening), trash content <1% (excessive trash blocks navel or contaminates yarn).
