Projectile Weaving Machinery

category
Projectile weaving machines insert weft yarn by firing a small metal projectile gripping the weft end across the shed using a torsion bar energy storage and release mechanism, with the projectile braked and returned by a chain conveyor system for reloading, enabling weaving of heavy and specialty yarns at machine widths up to 5.4 metres and insertion rates of 900 to 1400 metres per minute for wide technical fabric production.

Role

Provides the primary shuttleless weaving technology for wide-width technical fabrics including geotextiles, airbag fabrics, carpet backing, and industrial filter fabrics where machine widths up to 5.4 metres and the ability to insert any weft yarn type regardless of weight or surface character make projectile weaving technically superior to rapier, air-jet, and water-jet alternatives for these applications.
