Rapier Weaving Machinery

category
Rapier weaving machines insert weft yarn across the fabric width using rigid or flexible rapier carriers that enter the shed from one or both sides of the machine, with weft transfer from the supply carrier to the receiving carrier occurring at the fabric centre in double-rapier systems, enabling weaving of diverse yarn types and fabric structures at insertion rates of 600 to 1500 metres per minute.

Role

Provides the most versatile shuttleless weaving technology capable of processing the widest range of weft yarn types from fine silk to coarse technical yarns, multicolour weft in up to 16 colours, and specialty materials including leno, pile, and terry structures, making rapier weaving the dominant technology for fashion, apparel, home textile, and technical fabric production requiring pattern flexibility.
