Integrated spin-draw machines combine the melt extrusion, quenching, and drawing operations in a single machine pass, drawing the filament yarn directly from the spinline before winding on final packages at 3000 to 5000 metres per minute, eliminating the POY intermediate package that conventional two-step spinning and drawing requires while achieving fully drawn yarn properties at significantly reduced processing cost from the elimination of the separate draw winding operation.
