Transfer Printing Machines and Sublimation Technology
topic
Transfer printing machines press pre-printed paper carrying sublimable disperse dye designs against polyester fabric under heat of 200 to 220 degrees Celsius and pressure of 0.2 to 0.4 bar for 20 to 40 seconds in a calendar press or endless belt machine, with disperse dye subliming from the paper and diffusing into the polyester fibre to produce photographic quality prints with sharp detail and high colour brightness unavailable from direct printing methods.
Role
Produces photographic quality prints on polyester fabric at dry processing conditions without water consumption or liquid effluent discharge, enabling printing of shaped garment components and accessories with full photographic colour reproduction that cannot be achieved by direct screen or digital printing methods at comparable definition and colour saturation for performance sportswear, swimwear, and personalised garment printing applications.
