Two-for-one twisters combine two or more ring yarn ends delivered from package creels by threading one yarn through the hollow spindle and the second over the spindle, inserting two twists per spindle revolution through the double passage of the balloon yarn around the stationary package, achieving twisting rates of 10,000 to 20,000 twists per minute at 10 to 50 times the productivity of conventional ring twisting.

Provides economically efficient plying of ring spun yarns into two-ply, three-ply, and cable constructions for weaving, technical, and industrial yarn applications, with the 2-for-1 twist insertion principle enabling twisting machine productivity at 5 to 10 times fewer machines than equivalent ring twisting capacity while achieving equivalent twisted yarn quality in terms of twist regularity and strength.
