Two-for-One Twisting Machine Technology

topic
Two-for-one twisters insert two twists per revolution of the spindle by feeding yarn from a stationary supply package inside the spindle, passing it through the hollow spindle shaft, out through the spindle whorl, and looping around the balloon limiter before winding onto the take-up package, inserting both S and Z twist components simultaneously at production rates of 5000 to 20000 twist insertions per minute far exceeding ring twisting productivity.

Role

Provides the most productive twisting method for producing high-twist sewing threads, weaving yarns, and technical cords through the two-twist-per-revolution mechanism that doubles the twisting productivity of ring twisting, with TFO twisting being the dominant technology for synthetic filament yarn twisting and ply twisting operations where its higher productivity and balanced twist insertion justify the higher machine investment over ring twisters.
