← Fibre Blending in the Blowroom

Continuous vs Batch Bale Processing

topic
Standard bale openers process material charge by charge (one bale layout at a time). The Trützschler BDT 020 extracts continuously from inclined bales, replacing exhausted bales immediately. Continuous extraction provides superior long-term blending but is limited in the number of bales in the feed. A reserve belt for acclimatization is usually installed before the transport conveyor.

Role

The choice between continuous and batch processing affects blending homogeneity, operational flexibility, and bale management. Continuous systems excel in long-term blend consistency while batch systems allow larger bale layouts and more blend components.
