← Fibre Blending in the Blowroom

Sandwich Blending Principle

topic
In sandwich blending, layers of different raw material components are stacked vertically in a blending machine. The blending operation collects bunches of fibres arriving sequentially from individual bales and produces thorough mixing through the layered extraction from vertical columns combined with horizontal take-off.

Role

The sandwich blending principle is the foundation of multi-chamber blending machines. It creates both long-term consistency (through simultaneous extraction from all chambers) and short-term homogeneity (through the layered structure within each chamber).
