The card scarcely improves long-term blending (material transit time too short) but significantly improves transverse blending and intimate fibre-to-fibre mixing through individual fibre processing.
Role
The card is the only machine besides the OE spinner to process individual fibres, making it uniquely capable of achieving intimate fibre-to-fibre mixing. This is particularly important for man-made fibre/cotton blends where uniform distribution of different fibre types is critical.
