A grinding brush is permanently installed behind the flat cleaning device. A spring beneath the brush presses each flat bar against the brush one by one as they pass. More than 100 grinding cycles occur during the clothing lifetime. Combined with IGS-classic (IGS system), this provides automatic cylinder and flat sharpening with only manual flat setting required.
Role
IGS-top completes the automated grinding system, addressing flat clothing which historically required either on-card grinding with temporary roller installation or removal to a separate flat grinding machine. The combined IGS system maintains consistently low nep levels throughout clothing life.
