Modular Card Design for Easy Maintenance
topic
The Rieter C 60 card uses modular design with only the feed chute and main cylinder as fixed parts. All other modules (licker-in module, flat assembly, doffer module) can be removed for cleaning, setting, wire mounting, and exchanging. This enables rapid replacement of worn components and off-card maintenance while a spare module keeps the card running.
Role
Modular design dramatically reduces downtime for maintenance operations. A spare set of modules enables a maintenance rotation where worn modules are serviced offline while the card continues production with replacement modules.
