Pad-Steam Continuous Dyeing Range

topic
Pad-steam dyeing ranges impregnate fabric with dye solution and alkali through a padder applying 65 to 75 percent wet pickup, followed by infrared pre-drying that fixes dye distribution before the fabric enters a saturated steam ager at 100 to 102 degrees Celsius for 60 to 90 seconds where reactive dye fixation occurs, followed by cold water wash, washing-off counter-current wash boxes, and hot soap wash that removes unfixed dye before final rinsing and drying.

Role

Provides the primary continuous dyeing technology for reactive dye application to cotton and cellulosic fabrics at production speeds enabling high-volume commodity fabric dyeing at lower water and chemical consumption than exhaust dyeing, with pad-steam being the dominant method for solid shade cotton dyeing in sheeting, apparel fabric, and home textile markets requiring consistent shade across hundreds of metres per production lot.
