Single-End and Slasher Sizing Machine Design

topic
Slasher sizing machines draw multiple warp beams simultaneously through a size box containing hot aqueous size solution at 85 to 95 degrees Celsius, squeezing excess size through wringer rollers to achieve defined wet pick-up, drying the sized warp on steam-heated cylinders at 100 to 130 degrees Celsius, and winding the combined warp onto a weaver beam at speeds of 30 to 100 metres per minute.

Role

Performs the size application, penetration, and drying operations that transform warped yarn into weavable warp, with slasher machine configuration including size box design, squeeze roller pressure, pre-drying and main drying cylinder arrangement, and separation rod positioning determining the size distribution, yarn-to-yarn adhesion, and surface film quality that govern weaving performance.
