Slot die and extrusion coating systems apply coating compound or molten polymer through precision-machined slot dies or extrusion dies that deliver a uniform curtain of material across the full substrate width without mechanical contact with the substrate, enabling highly uniform thin coating application and molten polymer extrusion coating at coating weights from 2 to 200 grams per square metre at machine speeds of 50 to 500 metres per minute.
