Thermal and flame lamination machinery bonds substrate layers together without liquid adhesive by using heat to melt the surface of thermoplastic foam or film layers that act as their own adhesive when pressed against a textile substrate, or by calender bonding thermoplastic fabrics through direct application of heat and pressure at defined temperature and contact time that melts and bonds thermoplastic fibre components at the substrate interface.

Provides adhesive-free lamination technology for composite textile construction using the thermoplastic properties of foam and film substrates as the bonding mechanism, eliminating the adhesive application, drying, and curing steps required by liquid adhesive lamination and producing composite materials with lower VOC emission and simplified production for automotive interiors, garment padding, and flexible packaging applications.
