Air-Jet Weaving Machinery

category
Air-jet weaving machines insert weft yarn across the fabric width using a high-velocity air jet from a main nozzle supplemented by relay nozzles distributed across the machine width, with compressed air entraining and propelling the weft yarn at insertion rates of 1200 to 2000 metres per minute, making air-jet weaving the highest productivity shuttleless weaving technology for light to medium weight cotton and synthetic fabrics.

Role

Provides the highest weft insertion rate of any commercial weaving technology for standard spun and filament yarns, enabling maximum fabric production per loom investment for high-volume commodity fabrics in shirting, sheeting, bottom weight woven, and technical textile applications where the air insertion mechanism is compatible with the yarn types and fabric constructions required.
