One-Piece Chute Systems
topic
In the one-piece chute, a column of material of somewhat variable height over time is pushed forward toward the feed rollers. This form is simple, uncomplicated, economical, and needs little maintenance but does not comply with the requirements of a high-performance card due to insufficient material evenness and openness.
Role
One-piece chutes are found primarily on older or lower-production cards. They illustrate the minimum feed system requirements but are inadequate for modern high-performance carding where production rates of 100+ kg/h demand superior feed uniformity.
