Unidirectional Feed (Same Direction as Licker-In)

topic
Rieter's unidirectional feed system reverses the conventional arrangement: the feed roller is below and the plate is spring-pressed against it. Material runs downward without diversion directly into the licker-in teeth, eliminating the sharp bend of conventional systems. The distance from clamping zone exit to feed roller/licker-in clamping point (distance b/a) is adjustable.

Role

Unidirectional feed represents a significant improvement in gentle fibre treatment by eliminating the illogical sharp bend of conventional systems where material was pushed against the direction of licker-in rotation.
