Hot Melt Adhesive Lamination Systems

topic
Hot melt adhesive lamination melts thermoplastic adhesive pellets or blocks in heated tanks at 150 to 200 degrees Celsius and applies molten adhesive at 10 to 30 grams per square metre by slot die or gravure roll heated to the melt temperature, bonding substrates immediately in a pressure nip while the adhesive is molten with bond development on cooling to room temperature within seconds, eliminating drying equipment and enabling the highest lamination line speeds.

Role

Provides the fastest and most energy-efficient adhesive lamination method by eliminating solvent or water evaporation through 100 percent solid adhesive application that achieves full bond strength on cooling within seconds of nip combination, enabling lamination line speeds above 200 metres per minute for high-volume production of automotive interior laminates, hygiene product construction, and shoe component bonding where hot melt performance is adequate for the application requirements.
