Water Treatment and Recycling in Spunlace Lines

topic
Spunlace water management systems collect process water from beneath the forming belt through vacuum extraction, filter fibre and particulate contaminants through drum filters and fine polishing filters down to 1 micrometre, and recycle cleaned water back to the high-pressure pumps, with fresh water make-up compensating for evaporation and bleed losses while maintaining water quality that prevents orifice plugging from particulate contamination.

Role

Reduces the water consumption and effluent discharge of spunlace production through closed-loop water recycling that recovers and reuses the high volumes of water consumed by the jet entanglement process, with water filtration quality being critical for maintaining orifice integrity since fine fibre particles in the recycled water would plug the 100 to 130 micrometre jet orifices that are essential for maintaining jet coherence and entanglement effectiveness.
