Wetlaid Nonwoven Machinery
category
Wetlaid nonwoven machinery disperses fibres in water to form a dilute slurry that is deposited on a moving wire screen through papermaking-based forming technology, draining water through the screen to form a flat fibre web that is then dried and bonded by chemical, thermal, or hydrogen bonding to produce wetlaid nonwovens with the highest fibre uniformity and finest fibre distribution of any nonwoven process for filtration, battery separator, and technical paper applications.
Role
Produces the most uniform fibre distribution nonwovens for applications requiring maximum fibre web homogeneity including filtration media, battery separators, medical substrates, and technical specialty papers where the paper-machine-based wetlaid process achieves fibre distribution uniformity superior to any drylaid method and enables processing of the shortest fibres including glass microfibre and wood pulp that cannot be drylaid.
